FBISE tutoring for Matric and Intermediate students in Pakistan

Federal Board papers reward students who have written full answers under time against the current model papers, not students who have read the textbook twice. Our tutors teach SSC Part I and II and HSSC Part I and II one to one, in Pakistan Standard Time, in Urdu or English as the student prefers.

Why the model paper comes first

Reading the textbook is not the same as answering the paper

Federal Board students lose marks in predictable places. Long questions are answered in bullet points where the marks sit in worked steps, diagrams are drawn without labels, and the objective section is rushed because nobody practised it against a clock. None of that is a knowledge problem, which is why more revision rarely fixes it.

Every course here starts with the current FBISE model paper for the subject, because the board publishes them and a surprising number of students see one for the first time in the final month. The tutor marks a section live, shows the student where the marks actually were, and plans from that rather than from the first chapter.

  • Model papers used from the first month, not the last fortnight
  • Long questions written out in full, marked to the scheme rather than glanced at
  • Objective and short-answer sections drilled under time, since that is where speed is lost
  • Group choice at HSSC discussed honestly, with the Part II workload named in advance

FBISE subjects we teach

Paper patterns and marks distribution are confirmed against the model paper published for the current session, since the board revises them and a page like this one goes out of date faster than families expect.

๐Ÿงช

SSC, Classes 9 and 10

Matric taught for the board paper rather than for the school test. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics with numericals written out in full, plus English, Urdu, Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies.

PhysicsChemistryBiologyMathematicsComputer ScienceEnglish
๐Ÿ”ญ

HSSC Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering

Intermediate science taught with the Part II workload planned from the start of Part I, because the students who struggle in Class 12 are usually the ones who left Class 11 half-finished.

PhysicsChemistryBiologyMathematicsEnglish
๐Ÿ’ป

ICS, I.Com and Humanities

Computer Science taught by writing code that runs, Accounting taught through format and worked ledgers, and Humanities subjects taught with attention to how long answers are structured.

Computer ScienceStatisticsAccountingEconomicsBusiness Maths
Students on a provincial board, on the Aga Khan Board, or moving between a Matric stream and Cambridge are also welcome. Tell us the board and the textbook when you enquire and the tutor plans against that, rather than against FBISE by default. If you are weighing Matric against O Level or Intermediate against A Level, ask during the trial.
How a course actually runs

How an FBISE course runs

Model paper, then the gap it exposed, then the paper again.

01

Diagnose on a model paper section

A section of the current FBISE model paper, marked live during the free trial. Students routinely discover their answers are correct and still unmarkable, which is a different problem from not knowing the content.

02

Repair the chapters the marks depend on

Teaching follows the diagnosis rather than the table of contents. Where a concept from an earlier class has collapsed, the tutor stops and rebuilds it instead of continuing on schedule and hoping.

03

Write long answers in full

Every time, by hand, with derivations and labelled diagrams. Recognising a numerical is not the same as producing one from a blank page in an exam hall on a morning in May.

04

Objective and short sections against a clock

The MCQ and short-answer sections are drilled under time from the second term, because most of the marks lost there are lost to pace rather than to ignorance.

05

Practicals and the viva

Practical notebooks and viva preparation are scheduled into the plan. They carry real marks in the sciences and they are the marks most commonly surrendered without a fight.

Choosing a group for Class 11?

Ask the tutor during the trial. Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering are usually chosen on family expectation rather than on an honest look at the Part II workload, and an outside opinion costs nothing.

FBISE specifics worth planning for

The parts of the Federal Board pattern that decide the final result.

ElementHow it worksHow we plan for it
Model papersFBISE publishes model papers showing the structure and marks distributionUsed as the target from the first month, and re-checked each session in case the board revises them.
Objective sectionA timed multiple choice component sat alongside the subjective paperDrilled against a clock rather than treated as free marks that look after themselves.
Subjective long questionsExtended answers where method, steps and labelled diagrams carry the marksWritten out in full and marked to the scheme, with the marks pointed at explicitly.
Practical examinationsSeparate practical and viva components in the sciencesNotebooks and viva questions are taught and rehearsed, not left to the school week.
Part I carried into Part IISSC and HSSC results combine across both partsPart I is treated as banked marks, so a weak Part I gets an improvement plan rather than a shrug.
Entry test overlapHSSC science overlaps with MDCAT and engineering entry syllabiThe tutor flags where the syllabi meet and where they diverge, without pretending to be an entry test academy.
Paper patterns, marks distribution and practical weightings change between sessions. Everything above is checked against the model paper for the current session before a course is planned, and you should check it too rather than take a tutoring website's word for it.
Scheduling and fees

Booking FBISE sessions

Slots are scheduled in Pakistan Standard Time, and weekday evenings after school are the most requested.

๐ŸŽฏ

Free trial

Thirty minutes with the tutor you would actually be assigned. They set a short diagnostic task from the model paper, mark it live, and tell you where the gaps are. No card details.

๐Ÿ“…

Weekly slot

One fixed 55 minute session a week, billed monthly in advance. Your tutor and your time do not move unless you move them.

โšก

Board exam sprint

A block of eight sessions in the six weeks before the annual examination, built around past papers and model papers rather than new content.

๐Ÿ•˜

PKT evening slot

A fixed weekday evening slot in Pakistan Standard Time, held by the same tutor across the session so the routine survives the term.

Rescheduling is free with 12 hours notice. Inside 12 hours the session counts as taught, which is the only way a tutor can hold a fixed slot for you and still plan a week around it.
Questions parents ask first

FBISE, answered plainly

Do you teach both Matric and Intermediate?

Yes. SSC Part I and Part II, and HSSC Part I and Part II across the Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS, I.Com and Humanities groups. Each is taught against the prescribed textbook and the current model paper for that subject.

Can lessons be taught in Urdu?

Yes, and it is worth saying so when you enquire. Many students follow explanation better in Urdu while writing their answers in English, and a tutor who switches deliberately between the two is more useful than one who picks a language and stays there.

Are sessions scheduled in Pakistan Standard Time?

Yes. Weekday evening slots in PKT are the most common booking, and the slot is held by the same tutor across the academic session. Families outside Pakistan on the Federal Board are scheduled to their own local evening instead.

Do you prepare students for MDCAT or engineering entry tests?

We teach the HSSC syllabus well and we will flag where it overlaps with entry test syllabi. We are not a dedicated entry test academy and we will say so rather than take the booking.

My child is on a provincial board rather than FBISE. Does that matter?

Not much. Tell us the board and the prescribed textbook and the tutor plans against those instead. The method does not change, and neither does the fee.

Part I went badly. Is it worth continuing?

Usually yes, and the honest answer depends on the numbers. Bring the Part I result to the trial and the tutor will tell you what the combined result can realistically become, including whether an improvement attempt is worth the term it costs.
